INTERNAL AUDIT

The Internal Audit function is a statutory requirement and is provided for under section 90 of the Local Governments Act (CAP.243).The department of Internal Audit is headed by the Principal Internal Auditor whose mandate is to provide technical support and guidance on financial performance and quality assurance services in systems of internal control, risk management and governance processes in the district.
